As an ardent animal lover, I was pretty excited to play and review Animal Shelter Simulator for the PlayStation. While the game released for PS4 it works perfectly fine on the PS5, perhaps slightly better, which is the system I played on for this review. With high hopes and a deep desire to experience the joy of caring for and finding homes for virtual animals, this game had a lot to live up to; especially since I’ve worked a few summers at my own local shelter. Thankfully, I can confidently say that Animal Shelter not only met but exceeded my expectations.
