Ashley Tisdale Discusses Her Experience as Part of the Cast of The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes

Ashley Tisdale, who plays Rachel King in House of Ashes, explains what her experience was like on set shooting a video game for the very first time in the first of this exclusive interview.

WRC10 – Sound Recording Dev Diary Video

NACON and KT Racing studio are happy to unveil a new video for WRC 10, the official game of the FIA World Rally Championship, with a dive into the game’s sound recording!

Essential for total immersion, the WRC 10 team paid particular attention to the rendering of engine sounds, recording real racing models and integrating them into the game. A complex and precise process, the recordings allow to capture sounds from different sources and perspectives, in order to retransmit the sound effects as close as possible to the players’ behaviors and actions. Once recorded, the different sources are processed, mixed and integrated into the game on each vehicle. Finally, for the final mix, environmental sounds such as public areas, different road surfaces or the impact of the weather are added for a more realistic simulation than ever!

WRC 10 will be available on September 2, 2021 on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC in Europe; September 7, 2021 in North America and on Nintendo Switch™ at a later date.

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One Q&A Video 2 Released

Having recently finished the alpha phase of development on Sherlock Holmes Chapter One, Frogwares collected and answered a few more fan questions they were getting online.

A 4-minute video answers questions about topics such as companion Jon’s origin story, the potential of a sequel, how observations can go wrong and the chance of a Switch or Stadia version to name but a few.

Frogwares also put out a video to fans asking what they would like to see more of next. As the team gets closer to release and having a build that allows them to start showing off more, they want to rather go in the direction of what fans are asking to see vs something set a planned marketing schedule.

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is a third-person, open-world story-driven detective thriller and acts as a prequel in the world-renowned detective’s personal story. A creative re-imagining of what events could have led to Sherlock becoming the iconic sleuth many know today.

The game will release sometime in 2021 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

Bloober Team Share New Video with Nine Uncanny Facts About The Medium for Xbox Series Consoles and PC

Bloober Team, the studio behind acclaimed horror games including Blair Witch, Observer: System Redux and Layers of Fear, today released a new video featuring nine interesting facts about its upcoming psychological horror title, The Medium. In the final stretch leading to the game’s release on Jan. 28, viewers will be able to learn more about the game, its development, and the people involved. The Medium will be available exclusively for Xbox Series consoles and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store.

The latest four-and-half-minute video showcases a variety of intriguing and uncanny facts along with Easter eggs about The Medium that players may have never heard about – some of which includes first concepts of the game that started in 2012, or how the game’s setting at the abandoned Niwa Hotel is based on a real hotel in Bloober Team’s hometown in Kraków, Poland. In addition, the video shares sneak peeks into some of the development hurdles that the team has endured during the pandemic, as well as useful gameplay tips and behind-the-scenes footage that haven’t been published before.

The Medium is a third-person psychological horror game that features an innovative dual-reality gameplay that has been patented by Bloober Team. Players will play as Marianne, a medium gifted with a number of psychic abilities, and explore the real and spirit world both alternatively and simultaneously to uncover a dark mystery masked by disturbing secrets, sinister spirits, and devious puzzles only a medium can solve.
