Chronostrike – Superhot-inspired Co-Op Shooter Coming February 13, 2025 to Meta Quest

Developer Greensky Games – the award-winning studio behind SWARM and SWARM 2 has announced “Chronostrike” their “Superhot with Multiplayer meets Inception” co-op VR shooter is launching February 13, 2025 – and is now recruiting Closed Alpha playtesters ahead of its full release for Meta Quest 2 and 3.

Chronostrike offers a revolutionary take on the “time moves when you move” mechanic that players love, with two player co-operative missions, new enemies, and surreal, Inception-like environments. Together you are unstoppable. Apart you are vulnerable. Master time. Master memory. Save humanity.

In Chronostrike, you’re a glass cannon in a world where one hit spells death—but they’ll have to land it first. Master time itself as you snatch weapons from mid-air and weave through bullet storms triumphing over impossible odds. Your body is the controller. Think fast, move faster, and let intuition guide you. Each death is a lesson, a chance to transform chaos into choreography.

Set in 2135, players are put in the role of elite Chronostrike Agents working against Nuragen, a powerful corporation that threatens to control humanity. Dive into surreal, dreamlike digital memories to unravel the conspiracy and expose the hidden truth. With a unique blend of cooperative gameplay and high-stakes action, every encounter feels like a puzzle to solve, a dance to perform, and a fight to win—all at once.

“With Chronostrike, we’re evolving the time-manipulation mechanics that made Superhot iconic and transforming them into a cooperative experience,” said Peter Le Bek, Founder of Greensky Games. “By giving players shared control over time itself, we’ve created these extraordinary moments where two people have to move as one. And it creates this profound sense of power and vulnerability that makes every successful mission feel like a masterpiece of timing and trust. It really delivers an incredible adrenaline rush”

Chronostrike will land on the Meta Quest Store in February of 2025, and is currently in Alpha Playtesting – to sign up for playtesting go to www.chronostrike.com/

I've been an avid gamer since I stumbled upon ZORK running in my local Radio Shack in 1980. Ten years later I was working for Sierra Online. Since then I've owned nearly every game system and most of the games to go with them. Not sure if 40+ years of gaming qualifies me to write reviews, but I do it anyway.
