DIVE INTO THE UNKNOWN IN SUBMERSED, A PS4 EXCLUSIVE OUT ON MARCH 27th

Sony Interactive Entertainment España (SIE Spain) is pleased to announce that first-person survival horror game Submersed will be out (digital only) as a PlayStation®4 exclusive on March 27th for €14,99 at the PlayStation®Store. Submersed has been developed by Main Loop, a Basque studio member of the PlayStation®Talents project, an incubator programme whose goal is to help to shape the Spanish indie video games scene.

A first-person survival horror game, Submersed pays tribute to many classic video games as well as other classic horror and sci-fi movies. Jack Ballard, a recent widower just arrived as a paramedic at the coastguard service, has to investigate a distress call from a strange structure under the sea in the middle of nowhere. Jack will need to use every one of his skills to make it out of there alive.

Main Loop is the studio responsible for Submersed. José Muñoz and Jasone Irastorza started developing it from their own home in their spare time, until they got into the PlayStation®Talents program which granted them a place at the Bilbao Games Camp, one of the many accelerators that SIE Spain has around the country. The game recently won the Best Basque Video Games award at the Fun & Serious Game Festival, held at Bilbao last December.

I've been an avid gamer since I stumbled upon ZORK running in my local Radio Shack in 1980. Ten years later I was working for Sierra Online. Since then I've owned nearly every game system and most of the games to go with them. Not sure if 40+ years of gaming qualifies me to write reviews, but I do it anyway.
