Flock, the co-op multiplayer game developed by Hollow Ponds and Richard Hogg and published by Annapurna Interactive, launched today on PlayStation, Xbox (and via Xbox Game Pass) and PC via Steam. A companion soundtrack by IGF-nominated sound artist and composer Eli Rainsberry is also now available on Bandcamp, Steam, itch.io, and major platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.
From the minds behind Hohokum and I Am Dead, Flock is a co-op multiplayer game about the joy of flight and collecting adorable flying creatures with friends, where players can soar through beautiful landscapes, seeking out rare and elusive creatures to add to their flock.
Players take on the role of flying shepherds, tending to their own unique herd of hover-sheep and guiding them toward fresh, untouched pastures. Along the way, players will discover the secrets of the beautiful uplands and its wild creatures, as well as be able to create hats, cardigans, socks and more from sheared sheep wool.
The soundtrack to Flock is a digital fusion of contemporary electronic sounds, FM synthesis, acoustic plucks and harmonic woodwinds that strived to mirror the feeling of flight across the clouds and wilds of the Uplands. The release will include custom, extended arrangements of some of the game’s more dynamic moments, with a couple of them exclusively arranged for the soundtrack only.
