WATER PLANET SPILLS ONTO VR & PC VIA STEAM TODAY

Light years away, a lost world waits to be discovered… Miami-based videogames publisher The Revera Corporation and developer VIRGO, announced today that Water Planet, VIRGO’s audio-inspired VR experience, is now available to download on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift via Steam priced at $19.99 (or regional equivalent).

Players will also receive a free copy of VIRGO’s Water Planet E.P., which inspired the development of Water Planet, along with VIRGO’s love of the cosmos and subterranean worlds.

Brainchild of musician-turned-game developer, VIRGO, Water Planet is a first-person adventure set in a distant blue world. Players must gather resources to fuel an interstellar ship as their on-board A.I. Gemini guides them through sunken ruins and ocean depths while listening to the music of VIRGO.

Players will hunt down crystal shards amid sunken monuments and alien flora, encounter a lone cybernetic jellyfish, travel through portals, dive to the depths of the ocean and fly on a hover transport that connects the ruins of a lost civilization, before launching back into hyperspace.

Follow VIRGO on Twitter and to tune into her regular Twitch stream for all the latest on Water Planet in the lead up to launch. Players can also check out the game’s official Steam community hub.

I've been an avid gamer since I stumbled upon ZORK running in my local Radio Shack in 1980. Ten years later I was working for Sierra Online. Since then I've owned nearly every game system and most of the games to go with them. Not sure if 40+ years of gaming qualifies me to write reviews, but I do it anyway.
