New Mortal Kombat 11 Trailer Reveals Kotal Kahn as Latest Playable Character

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios today released a new Mortal Kombat 11 gameplay trailer featuring character, Kotal Kahn.

Kotal Kahn is an Osh-Tekk warrior and Emperor of Outworld. Years ago, Kotal saved the Empire from chaos and claimed the throne of Kahn. Now his reign is plagued by rising tensions at home and abroad. Determined to keep order, Kotal wrestles with the temptation to exercise the same brutal tactics as his predecessors. Kotal summons the power of the sun to strengthen his abilities against his opponents. Additionally, a more in-depth look at the fighting style of Kotal Kahn’s opponent, Jacqui Briggs, is showcased in the trailer with her implementing experience as a competitive fighter trained in kickboxing and martial arts.

Kotal Kahn joins the growing roster of playable Mortal Kombat 11 fighters, alongside Scorpion, Raiden, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, Skarlet, Baraka, Geras, Kano, D’Vorah, Kabal, Jade, Johnny Cage, Cassie Cage, Erron Black, and Jacqui Briggs.

Mortal Kombat 11 is the latest installment in the critically-acclaimed franchise, developed by award-winning NetherRealm Studios, and will be available beginning April 23 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X, Nintendo Switch and PC. Pre-order now to receive the in-game playable character, Shao Kahn. Those who pre-order on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One or Xbox One X at select retailers, will also receive access to the beta, which will be available on March 28 for those platforms.

I've been an avid gamer since I stumbled upon ZORK running in my local Radio Shack in 1980. Ten years later I was working for Sierra Online. Since then I've owned nearly every game system and most of the games to go with them. Not sure if 40+ years of gaming qualifies me to write reviews, but I do it anyway.
