The Park is Now Out on Nintendo Switch

As we have seen in past books, movies and video games, it is often what we normally perceive to be innocent and harmless which has the potential to scare us the most. That is the case in psychological horror game The Park, which Funcom is pleased to announce has now been released on Nintendo Switch.

The Park provides a short, but intense story-driven psychological horror experience. Set in Atlantic Island Park after closing hours, you assume the role of Lorraine, in search for her son Callum. His quest to find his missing teddy bear has led him on a path through a park haunted by tragedy and drama. Atlantic Island Park has a history of freak accidents and grotesque killings, and locals worry it is far from done claiming innocent lives…

The game is available on the Nintendo Game Store for $9.99/€9.99 (regional differences may apply).

The Park was first released on PC back in 2015 and on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2016. It was originally released in English, but as of this week it has also been translated into French, German, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Japanese on PC and PlayStation 4, with Xbox One soon to follow.

The Nintendo Switch version of The Park is the second game to be released by Funcom this week, following the launch of cosmic horror game Moons of Madness on Tuesday. Both games are set in the same thematic universe as Funcom’s Secret World Legends, but playing one of the games is by no means a prerequisite to enjoy the others.

I've been an avid gamer since I stumbled upon ZORK running in my local Radio Shack in 1980. Ten years later I was working for Sierra Online. Since then I've owned nearly every game system and most of the games to go with them. Not sure if 40+ years of gaming qualifies me to write reviews, but I do it anyway.
