Survive the Solar Storm with Dark Moon coming June 2020

Polish developer Jujubee S.A. has just revealed their latest project Dark Moon in an Announcement Trailer showcasing the game’s grim atmosphere and lunar isolation.

Dark Moon is a survival strategy game where in order to survive you must avoid the Sun’s scorching rays and embrace the darkness. Gather resources, upgrade your mobile base, make tough moral decisions, and keep moving forward. Remember, whatever you do – don’t go into the light!

“We’ve always wanted to tell mature and engaging stories as well as educate our players about our world. With Dark Moon we will be able to do both, to tell a story of one’s struggle to come back home from the Moon. As a real-time strategy title with survival elements, we believe the game could become an emotional journey, especially with the moral choices the players have to make along the way.” – Pawel Nitta, Head of Marketing & PR.

DARK MOON’S FEATURES:

  • Solar Pressure – The Sun is destroying everything it touches, you must avoid its radiance. The Mechaplex – a giant, general-purpose engineering vehicle will stand as your base of operations. It will also serve as your getaway vehicle, thus plan your actions accordingly and escape the tireless enemy.
  • Non-linear Survival – A different experience with each playthrough as each location and event may bring unpredictable results. Embrace or beware of other survivors who will want to join your convoy. Gather minerals and use their properties to increase your chances of survival.
  • Manage Your Mobile Base – The Mechaplex is your means of survival; build new buildings on top of it, research new technologies, enhance your crew’s abilities, and traverse the lunar plains.

I've been an avid gamer since I stumbled upon ZORK running in my local Radio Shack in 1980. Ten years later I was working for Sierra Online. Since then I've owned nearly every game system and most of the games to go with them. Not sure if 40+ years of gaming qualifies me to write reviews, but I do it anyway.
