Jane's Hotel 2: Family Hero HD When you think of iPad games what comes to mind? Quick what was it? Like me, I bet you thought of a racing game, maybe a card game, and at the very least a pinball game. I bet a time management game wasn’t even in the realm of possibilities. You won’t ever find me playing some stupid time management game in my free time! Well look now, guess the joke was on me. I was lined up to review Jane’s Hotel 2: Family Hero and I was dreading every second leading up to playing it. But it didn’t take long before I realized something I never thought I would - I couldn’t stop playing! I kept telling myself just play for an hour or two and get the idea of the game and be done with it…and before I knew it, I had beaten the game.
Jane’s Hotel 2: Family Hero opens to find your tycoon family has sold off all their hotels around the world. Your grandmother has convinced you that it is time to take them back but no one has the money to get them. Since owning and running successful hotels is in your blood, you go to the bank and get loans to buy each hotel back one by one. You tell your grandmother that you are going to restore them back to their glory days and still be able to pay back the banks! You start your worldwide tour in the Canary Island. Here you quickly find out that it is just tap and go. You have three characters that do different chores to keep your hotels popularity up and guest happy all while listening to background music that makes you feel like you are on an episode of The Price Is Right. You have your receptionist that takes care of handing out the keys, collecting the money, and taking certain bought items to clients around the hotel. You have the maid that vacuums, waters plants, does the dry cleaning, and fluffs pillows. Then finally the bell hop. He fixes broke items, takes the luggage out and takes photos of patrons. The faster you get the demanded tasks done the more they request stuff and get you more points to build your bank roll up. After each individual round you have the chance to upgrade your characters or buy furniture that gives you more clients or other special traits that help increase your bank roll in some way. All the upgrades deal with speed that goes with a certain task for a certain character. The furniture varies from decorations to chairs or front desk. The more guests you get from buying higher priced items the more money you receive which helps since you have to pay the bank back in a short amount of time. When you can pay the bank, move on to the next level, money doesn’t carry over so unless you just want to get everything for every level to see the final product there is no need to stay longer than necessary. This is a game that will definitely sneak up on you. I dreaded every second up to actually playing this game, but once I started I couldn’t believe how quickly this simple story line wrapped me in and kept me wanting to play just one more round. Then next thing I knew, I was 8 hours in and had played an entire game. Take a chance on Jane’s Hotel 2: Family Hero! We all know you have wasted $3 on a lot worse. This game will surprise you; it did me! Screenshots ![]()
