With all the MMO's out there today, what does Silkroad offer that is different?
| | Jaeho Ghim: |
Much of Silkroad Online’s story is based on the history of the Silk Road trade routes that formed between Asia, Europe and the Middle East, although that history is embellished with a fantasy twist.
Additionally, the game’s free-form character progression system gives players the opportunity to develop characters that are free of restrictions or fixed paths. When combined with award-winning 3D graphics and the Triangular Conflict system, these distinctive features set Silkroad Online firmly apart from other MMOs.

What can players expect from the newest expansion, Legend III?
| | Jaeho Ghim: |
The Legend III expansion provides a high-altitude adventure, giving players access to a mountainous new area west of historical Karakoram where they must fight amidst desolate peaks and rocky terrain. A number of treacherous monsters call the forbidding mountain ranges home, challenging even the bravest and most seasoned of adventurers as they undertake epic quests to obtain the most precious armor, weapons, and shields available.
The introduction of Legend III also raises the level cap from 80 to 90, allowing us to introduce a fierce half-demon/half-human monster, Shaitan, who joins an elite group of Silkroad Online bosses.

What exactly is the Triangle Conflict System?
| | Jaeho Ghim: |
The Triangular Conflict system, known as ‘trade runs’ in-game, is one of the most popular features of Silkroad Online. It separates players into three distinct groups based on the historical battleground of the ancient Silk Road: Merchants, Hunters, and Thieves. Merchants purchase valuable goods and try to sell them for a profit by traveling to sell their wares in a different town. While they are en route to their destination, Thieves try to ambush the convoy and steal the goods, selling them for their own profit on the black-market. Hunters, the third side of the triangle, are guardians that are hired to protect the Merchants. They share the profits of the trading run if they safely escort the convoy to the final destination. Triangular Conflict provides some of the most intense battles in Silkroad Online, and it is one of the fastest and most lucrative ways to make money in-game.

What reactions have you gotten from the Gaming community and the players of SRO?
| | Jaeho Ghim: |
After the initial launch in Asia, Silkroad Online’s popularity grew rapidly, especially outside the continent. We had gamers from all over Europe wanting to play Silkroad Online, eagerly anticipating the 2006 launch of the global service. In an independent survey done last year, Silkroad was voted the favorite Free to Play MMORPG – as well as being recognized in the ‘best graphics’ category.

One thing I've noticed with SRO is that it has a huge following. What do you contributes to that?
| | Jaeho Ghim: |
Silkroad Online has a huge following largely because is has so much in-game content. From novice players to hardcore gamers, everyone can always find something to do in Silkroad Online. We’ve included scenarios like Fortress War that promote group play, placing guild against guild as defenders attempt to hold off an invading force and protect their fortress. Other features include the Triangular Conflict, Capture the Flag, free-for-all PvP, unique monsters, job wars, dungeons, and a number of special in-game events and out-of-game contests.

Do you have any last impressions that you'd like to leave our readers with?
| | Jaeho Ghim: |
Gamers who want to take a break from the standard Knight/Elf/Orc fantasy without heading into outer-space should give Silkroad Online a try. Not just because it is free, but because it is an excellent and distinctive online game.

Thank you again for your time and I look forward to seeing what Silkroad Online has to offer in the future. Until then gear up and I'll see you on the trade routes.
