Nintendo-owned development studio in Seattle, established to create software targeted specifically at the US market. NST, which stands for Nintendo Software Technology Corporation, is located in a building adjacent to the main Nintendo of America offices. The company was founded by NOA's Arakawa Chairman Claude Comair and headed up by President Scott Tsumura.
Many of NST's members are industry veterans, but the company has also a history of seeking out new talent, including graduates of the Nintendo-backed DigiPen Institute of Technology. NST's first game was an enhanced port of Namco's Ridge Racer for Nintendo 64 back in 2000. Today, the developer employs an internal staff of around 75 and focuses on development for Nintendo GameCube.
