Logitech was one of three major hardware vendors I got to visit with this year and only one of two that was developing both PC and console controllers. I was literally blown away when I sat down in the meeting room at a table overflowing with new controllers ranging from wireless gamepads and joysticks, to high-resolution mice and keyboards. And while nothing was on display, Logitech has already committed to supporting Sony's new PSP.
With more and more console games getting ported to PC a gamepad is becoming as necessary as a mouse. Logitech has three new controllers headed our way with the flagship Cordless RumblePad 2 leading the way. This sexy gamepad utilizes proven 2.4 GHz technology for no-hassle wireless control. Dual motors give you excellent vibration effects and the controller is estimated to run on two AA batteries for approximately 100 hours.
Logitech has also signed a lucrative deal to provide official NASCAR racing wheels for PC and consoles. NASCAR wheels were a former staple of the Thrustmaster line, but now Logitech is going to combine their quality design with a franchise known around the world.
